Baytekin Serce (Turkey / Germany) Since his earliest youth he has been a Darbuka player; rhythm was and is Baytekin’s life. As a concert musician he lived in Istanbul. And today he is a percussionist in Duisburg, Germany. He conducts workshops, organises projects with young people and teaches in schools. In his concerts we find a very wide music spectrum, international fusions, music of different centuries, Arabian and Turkish music, and also new creations such as “Bach and Darbuka”. He has participated in various multicultural CDs. For many years, Baytekin has been taking part in Tara Travel’s dance journeys. |
